Casablanca, le 4 novembre 2016<\/u> \u2013 Greenpeace M\u00e9diterran\u00e9e a organis\u00e9 aujourd\u2019hui, jour de l’entr\u00e9e en vigueur de l’accord de Paris, une conf\u00e9rence de presse \u00e0 bord du bateau Greenpeace Rainbow Warrior, amarr\u00e9 \u00e0 Casablanca. L’organisation environnementale a lanc\u00e9 un appel urgent \u00e0 toute la r\u00e9gion du Moyen-Orient et de l’Afrique du Nord \u00e0 effectuer la transition vers les \u00e9nergies renouvelables. Cet appel intervient avant l’ouverture des n\u00e9gociations internationales sur le climat, qui d\u00e9buteront le 7 novembre \u00e0 Marrakech.<\/p>\n

Le Rainbow Warrior conclut ainsi sa tourn\u00e9e m\u00e9diterran\u00e9enne intitul\u00e9e “Le Soleil Nous Unit”. Parti du Liban, le bateau de Greenpeace a fait escale dans plusieurs pays du bassin m\u00e9diterran\u00e9en avant de jeter l’ancre au Maroc. Dans tous les ports visit\u00e9s durant ce voyage, l’ONG a fait la promotion de l’immense potentiel de l’\u00e9nergie solaire de la r\u00e9gion MENA. Greenpeace a r\u00e9colt\u00e9 des milliers de voix tant de cette r\u00e9gion que du monde entier qui r\u00e9clament un monde aliment\u00e9 enti\u00e8rement par les \u00e9nergies renouvelables. Casablanca, 4 November 2016<\/u> \u2013 As the Paris Agreement enters into force today, Greenpeace Mediterranean held a press conference on-board the Greenpeace ship, Rainbow Warrior \u00a0in Casablanca, calling for an urgent shift to 100% renewable energy in the Middle East and North African region. This call comes before the beginning of the UN international climate negotiations, in Marrakech, starting on November 7.<\/p>\n

The Rainbow Warrior is concluding its Mediterranean \u201cThe Sun Unites Us\u201d tour; launched in Lebanon and passing through several Mediterranean countries before ending in Morocco. At sea and ports along its journey the ship promoted the massive potential of solar energy in the Middle East and North Africa and gathered thousands of voices from the region and beyond calling for a 100% renewable energy world. The call will be delivered to the decision-makers at the COP22 climate negotiations.<\/p>\n

Ghalia Fayad, the Arab world and North Africa program Leader at Greenpeace Mediterranean, said:<\/p>\n

\u201cThe people have spoken. They want to live in a world powered by renewable energy that will provide them with healthier, more stable and more prosperous lives.
