Finance is a cornerstone of global cooperation on climate change and a central component of the Paris Agreement’s commitments. Climate justice can only be achieved when we end the root cause of the ongoing climate crisis—phasing out all fossil fuels. This crisis has disproportionately impacted already vulnerable communities across the Global South, including the Middle East and North Africa. It is vital to secure new and additional support and funding for these frontline communities, who are facing the direct impacts of the crisis.
