This role will also lead the development of Greenpeace MENA\u2019s data strategy, including the establishment of data standards and governance.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>DEVELOP<\/strong>&nbsp;a Greenpeace MENA data strategy, data standards, and data governance in collaboration with key staff.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>IMPLEMENT<\/strong>&nbsp;data collection, data cleaning, data munging, data tagging, and other data preparation needed to deliver the required reporting and analysis tasks.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>ANALYZE<\/strong>&nbsp;different datasets&nbsp;in order to transform raw data into actionable insights and recommendations that support ongoing performance monitoring and inform decision-making.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>CREATE<\/strong>&nbsp;and maintain strategic reports and dashboards.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>LEVERAGE<\/strong>&nbsp;website and audience data to draw insights, develop hypotheses, and proactively implement testing opportunities for campaign, engagement, and FR efforts.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>ESTABLISH<\/strong>&nbsp;GP MENA&#8217;s best practices and standards for online tracking, reporting, testing, and optimization of projects.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>TRAIN<\/strong>&nbsp;and coach key staff on data, insights, and reporting literacy.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>COMMUNICATE<\/strong>&nbsp;results, insights, and learnings to various stakeholders using data visualization and presentation tactics.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>COLLABORATE<\/strong>&nbsp;with different teams to help them define clear requirements for testing, monitoring, analysis, and evaluation of projects.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>HOLD<\/strong>&nbsp;internal stakeholder and external vendor relationships and be accountable for data projects delivered by third-party vendors.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT&nbsp;<\/strong>by keeping abreast of the most recent methodologies, trends, and best practices in data analysis and insight development. Identify opportunities to enhance research techniques and data processing<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>OTHER:<\/strong>&nbsp;any other duty, as appropriate to the post and as delegated by your line manager.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Educational Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree, ideally in a business or quantitative subject (e.g. computer science, mathematics, engineering, data science, statistics, economics or finance)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p><strong>Experience &amp; Skills<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>At least three (3) years of experience in a data analysis and insight role or equivalent experience gained through a professional qualification<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong experience with Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Looker Studio, and Google Sheets<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong understanding of social media and other media analytics tools, as well as social network native reporting platforms<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proven strong experience with digital reporting and metrics<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proven ability to draw out the \u2018why\u2019 behind the analysis and reporting requests in order to maximize the usefulness of the analysis you produce<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Good stakeholder management experience and comfort presenting to senior teams<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong written and verbal data storytelling skills, with the ability to share analysis in a way that feels accessible and actionable to non-technical colleagues<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills in the English language, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>It is desirable to have experience with dashboard and reporting tools, e.g., Tableau and Google Data Studio<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Understanding CIVIS Analytics and Hubspot would be a bonus<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Experience with any data analysis programming language, such as SQ and\/or Python, would be a bonus<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proficiency in using accounting software and the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p><strong>Organizational Competencies<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Ability to build strong interpersonal relationships, in particular working with cross-cultural and global teams&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Good planning and organizing abilities<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Good time management&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively with very tight deadlines and in stressful situations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Autonomous, flexible, and agile<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Knowledge sharing&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p><strong>Behavioral Competencies&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Assertive and persistent, demonstrate the ability to effectively lead an operation from inception to completion<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Act with integrity consistently<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and work in a fast-paced environment<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Demonstrate a positive mindset and solutions-oriented attitude&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Demonstrate openness and curiosity to test new ideas and learn<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p><strong>Commitment&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>Commitment to Greenpeace\u2019s core values in response to environmental and peace issues through non-violent, direct action-led campaigning in line with its mission.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Disclaimer<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>Greenpeace MENA is committed to achieving diversity within its workforce and encourages applicants irrespective of gender, nationality, disability, sexual orientation, culture, religion, and ethnic background to apply. It has always been great to end the day with an outing with the team, or a heated debate about current events. A week in the office was never complete without some kind of activity that brought us together as people, celebrating our passion for life, hobbies and interests, and - I must admit, several practical jokes! Moving our work online has definitely had an impact on our relationships with colleagues, volunteers, and external partners Somehow it feels like we\u2019ve been invited to become part of each other\u2019s lives at home: parents, partners, children and pets have now become regular guests on our video calls.
