OVERALL PURPOSE<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

The Media Analyst Consultant is responsible for supporting Greenpeace MENA in Media and Social Media listening and providing a comprehensive analysis report on narrative and audience understanding. The consultant will analyze media coverage and social media discourse before and after campaigns and deliver a full report to inform strategic decision-making.<\/p>\n\n

The person will be working on reports that can feed into Greenpeace MENA\u2019s engagement plans for current and future campaigns.<\/p>\n\n

OBJECTIVES<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

Analysis Report: <\/strong>Provide a comprehensive analysis report on narrative and audience understanding. The report must include the following key areas:<\/p>\n\n

\u25cf Researching and Identifying<\/strong> key narratives, frames, messages, active players, and top voices<\/p>\n\n

\u25cf Monitoring and tracking<\/strong> <\/strong>trends and sentiments in media and public perception<\/p>\n\n

\u25cf Analyzing<\/strong> media clippings and social media conversations<\/p>\n\n

\u25cf Presenting<\/strong> key findings and recommendations             <\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

Educational Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

\u25cf A bachelor\u2019s degree in media, digital communication, Marketing, communications, or relative experience<\/p>\n\n

Experience & skills<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

\u25cf A minimum of 5 years of relevant, proven experience in media analysis, social media monitoring, or related fields is preferred.<\/p>\n\n

\u25cf Strong Analytical Skills:<\/strong> Ability to analyze and interpret media content, social media data, and narrative trends.<\/p>\n\n

\u25cf Media Monitoring Expertise:<\/strong> Experience in media monitoring and analysis, with a solid understanding of the media landscape and coverage patterns in the MENA region.<\/p>\n\n

\u25cf Social Media Proficiency<\/strong>: Familiarity with social media platforms, listening, and analytics, and extracting meaningful insights from social media.<\/p>\n\n

\u25cf Communication Skills:<\/strong> Excellent written and verbal communication skills, distilling complex information into clear and concise reports and presentations.<\/p>\n\n

\u25cf Environmental knowledge:<\/strong> Understanding environmental issues is good to have.<\/p>\n\n

Personal competencies<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

\u25cf Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Arabic & English<\/p>\n\n

\u25cf Good attention to detail<\/p>\n\n

\u25cf Ability to work effectively and creatively and be calm under pressure.<\/p>\n\n
