Developing and executing digital marketing plans to engage supporters and the public to become financial supporters of Greenpeace. As Greenpeace is an independent organization, 100% funded by our supporters, it is vital that we engage our supporters\u2019 financial power as we fight together for our fragile planet and the magnificent diversity of life that calls it home.<\/p>\n\n<p>The Digital Engagement &amp; Acquisition Strategist will play a key role in engaging supporters across paid, owned, and earned channels, including email, social media, search, display, and more, working closely with agencies and in-house specialists. This role will develop and execute marketing plans and create compelling campaign storytelling to attract and engage supporters in meaningful ways they can take action on and donate to support our campaigns. Responsible for the end-to-end supporter journey and experience, this role will develop landing pages, email journeys, social content, and ads to engage and attract new supporters (lead generation), with a focus on the acquisition of new regular givers online.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Scope<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>In this role, the postholder is a key player in driving the digital fundraising strategy for Greenpeace MENA across the region. The primary responsibility will be to develop and implement innovative digital fundraising campaigns, leveraging the latest technologies and platforms to maximize donor engagement and revenue. This role involves setting the strategic direction for digital fundraising and collaborating with other fundraisers and other departments to achieve organizational goals.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Strategic Planning <\/strong>Develop and implement a comprehensive digital fundraising strategy tailored to the MENA region. Identify and analyze trends, opportunities, and challenges in the digital fundraising landscape. Set clear objectives and KPIs for digital fundraising campaigns, ensuring alignment with the organization&#8217;s overall mission and goals.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Campaign Management <\/strong>Lead the planning, execution, and optimization of multi-channel digital fundraising campaigns, including email, social media, and online events. Oversee content creation, ensuring messaging is compelling, culturally relevant, and resonates with target audiences in the MENA region. Monitor and analyze campaign performance, providing regular reports and insights to inform future strategies.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Donor Acquisition <\/strong>Lead the strategic planning and execution of digital donor acquisition initiatives, including lead generation campaigns, conversion-focused landing pages, and optimized user journeys. Apply performance marketing principles to identify high-converting audiences, track ROI, and maximize acquisition across paid and organic digital channels. Collaborate closely with digital marketing and creative teams to develop content and messaging that drives supporter action and financial contributions. Test and iterate on campaigns using data-driven insights to continuously improve acquisition performance.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Donor Engagement <\/strong>Develop and maintain relationships with donors, ensuring a high level of engagement and satisfaction. Utilize data-driven insights to segment and target donors effectively, enhancing personalization and donor retention.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Partnership Development <\/strong>Identify and establish partnerships with digital platforms, influencers, and other organizations to expand GP MENA&#8217;s reach and fundraising potential. Collaborate with the engagement and campaigns teams to integrate fundraising efforts with broader organizational campaigns.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Budget Management <\/strong>Manage the digital fundraising budget, ensuring efficient use of resources and maximizing return on investment. Explore innovative and cost-effective digital tools and platforms to enhance fundraising efforts.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Compliance <\/strong>Comply with Greenpeace policies regarding funding sources, confidentiality, data handling, etc.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Educational Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A bachelor&#8217;s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field; a digital marketing certificate is a plus.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p><strong>Experience &amp; skills<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in digital acquisition, digital fundraising, or digital marketing, with a proven track record of success. Candidates with strong digital marketing or digital sales experience, especially in lead generation, conversion funnels, or e-commerce (even outside the nonprofit sector), are encouraged to apply.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Deep understanding of the MENA region, including cultural, social, and political dynamics.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In-depth knowledge of Google and Meta\u2019s advertising and content policies, including experience navigating and optimizing campaigns within these guidelines.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong knowledge and practical understanding of fundraising, or the ability and willingness to quickly learn them.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Experience in designing and implementing digital campaigns that effectively engage, convert, and retain donors.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Expertise in digital marketing, digital sales platforms, performance analytics, and CRM tools.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire diverse audiences internally and externally<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong project management skills and attention to detail.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Willingness and ability to travel internationally and regionally as required.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Budgeting experience (preparing, presenting, and monitoring).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proficiency in Arabic and English is required; French is a plus.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p><strong>Commitment<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>Commitment to Greenpeace\u2019s core values in response to environmental and peace issues through non-violent direct action-led campaigning in line with its mission.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Disclaimer<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>Greenpeace MENA is committed to achieving diversity within its workforce, irrespective of gender, nationality, disability, sexual orientation, culture, religion, and ethnic background. A week in the office was never complete without some kind of activity that brought us together as people, celebrating our passion for life, hobbies and interests, and - I must admit, several practical jokes!
