Organization: Greenpeace MENA<\/p>\n\n

Reports to: Executive Director<\/p>\n\n

Location: Remotely within 3 hours of Beirut timezone.<\/p>\n\n

OVERALL PURPOSE<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n

At Greenpeace MENA, we are approaching our justice, equity, diversity, inclusion, and safety (JEDIS) work as an opportunity to be better and do better. What we want is concrete action to build a radically just and equitable organization, workplace, and world. We are looking for someone to lead action strategies, covering topics such as: anti-racism, environmental and climate justice, disability rights, gender justice, class discrimination, equitable employment practices, and staff wellness.<\/p>\n\n

The purpose of this position is to ensure that Greenpeace MENA is acting in alignment with our organizational values, strategic plan, and our commitment to JEDIS work on a local, national, and global level. We are looking for someone who is interested in shaping and influencing this work as we continue to dismantle barriers to justice, build up a respectful and inclusive workplace culture, and develop campaigns to change power dynamics that continue to exploit and oppress people and the planet.<\/p>\n\n

SCOPE<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n

You will work with colleagues across the MENA region  and collaborate with other Greenpeace offices around the world.<\/p>\n\n

Candidates should understand and support the Greenpeace campaign tactics, including the use of peaceful civil disobedience. <\/p>\n\n
