And we promise, your friends will enjoy themselves\u00a0too!<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s the second of our five-part series on Quezon City restaurant\u00a0options where you can indulge in delicious food, while making a kinder\u00a0choice for the planet.<\/p>\n<p>This time, we\u2019re featuring EARTH KITCHEN, located at Lot 10 B-10\u00a0Katipunan Ave. Ext., White Plains.<\/p>\n<p>This farm-to-table organic restaurant serves meat dishes too, but its\u00a0plant-based offerings are so packed with flavor, you don\u2019t need to be\u00a0tempted by anything else.<\/p>\n<p>Its slogan? \u201cHealthy, local, and sustainable.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;\" title=\"Sweet Potato Empanada\" src=\"https:\/\/www.greenpeace.org\/static\/planet4-philippines-stateless\/2019\/05\/81a87ba5-81a87ba5-144414_262664.jpg\" alt=\"Sweet Potato Empanada\" width=\"90%\" height=\"\/\" \/><br \/>\nAccording to the menu, the restaurant was built to support small\u00a0farmers and fishermen, as well as indigenous communities around the\u00a0country. \u201cOur dishes are specifically crafted to showcase the produce\u00a0of our partner communities from Luzon to Mindanao,\u201d it says.<\/p>\n<p>You get to make \u201cgood, clean, and healthy decisions when it comes to\u00a0food.\u201d That\u2019s because there are no GMOs, chemicals, synthetic\u00a0fertilizers, herbicides, or pesticides. Synthetic flavorings are also\u00a0nowhere to be found.<\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019re looking for gifts to put under the tree, you can also browse\u00a0through the Got Heart Shop in the same location, which features local\u00a0and organic products like soap, oil, and tea.<\/p>\n<p>But first, have the attentive waiters take your order. Some mushroom\u00a0spring rolls with lime hoisin sauce as an appetizer? Or some curried\u00a0squash soup with pumpkin, home-made yogurt, and mint?<\/p>\n<p>How about a glass of fresh mango shake, dalandan juice, or a healthy\u00a0concoction of beets, carrots, apples, cucumber, and honey to wash it\u00a0down?<\/p>\n<p>The sweet potato empanada is a must-try, with cilantro dressing and\u00a0garlic aioli to give it a kick.<\/p>\n<p>Their colorful salad options include watermelon and rocket salad with\u00a0arugula, lettuce, pili nuts, home-made kesong puti, and balsamic\u00a0vinaigrette; and grilled vegetable salad with zucchini, bell pepper,\u00a0eggplant, carrots, pickled mushrooms, herbs and greens, kesong puti,\u00a0and balsamic vinaigrette.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;\" title=\"Sweet Potato Empanada\" src=\"https:\/\/www.greenpeace.org\/static\/planet4-philippines-stateless\/2019\/05\/d4fd7f58-d4fd7f58-144415_262666.jpg\" alt=\"Roasted vegetable pasta\" width=\"90%\" height=\"\/\" \/><br \/>\nRoasted vegetable pasta with carrots, eggplant, zucchini, tomato, bell\u00a0pepper, and parmesan is a winner. You can also try Earth Kitchen\u00a0ravioli made of camote tops, kesong puti, pili nuts, tomato sauce,\u00a0basil, and parmesan cheese; or mushroom ravioli made of kesong puti,\u00a0shiitake, button mushrooms, milky mushrooms, pili nuts, and a cream\u00a0sauce.<\/p>\n<p>For dessert, have a scoop of goat\u2019s cheese ice cream with honey, dried\u00a0figs, and pili nuts; or tablea chocolate cake with toasted cacao nibs!<\/p>\n<p>Eating out while still maintaining a plant-based diet has never been\u00a0easier, thanks to restaurants with options like these.
