In this role you are responsible for enabling Greenpeace and its staff to safely deliver cutting edge operations and campaigning in the challenging Southeast Asian context. As the Security Manager you are the lead expert on organisational security matters and will provide strategic advice and support to the entire organisation in order to promote smart risk taking. You foster the conversation about Security to ensure it is an integrated component of all our operations, you enhance the safety and security of our people and protect the integrity and reputation of Greenpeace Southeast Asia (GPSEA).<\/p>\n\n<p>The focus of your role is to strengthen GPSEA Security Systems and to establish a Security Culture, that allow our Programme to take bolder steps to increase impact of our projects, while maintaining a high level of safety for the organisation and our people. You lead and facilitate the development of Security &amp; Safety related policies and protocols and oversee the establishment of fit-for-purpose Security systems, including the design, roll-out, monitoring and needed trainings, in line with established Greenpeace Best Practices and protocols.<\/p>\n\n<p>To\nensure Greenpeace grows its organisational resilience, you will oversee,\nmaintain and improve our Critical Incident Management Systems, ensure Security\nintegration into our organisational systems such as HR, IT and Programme as\nwell as provide a regular context analysis of our operating environment.<\/p>\n\n<p>This\nrole requires you to develop your unit and the GPSEA Security community of\npractice to deliver operationally across projects in the region. While you are\nthe focal point on all Security related matters, you have to closely coordinate\nand collaborate on security issues with various stakeholders across the\norganisation, HR, Programme, FR etc.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n<p>Non-nationals\/citizens\nand those with no legal right to live and work in Malaysia, Thailand,\nIndonesia, Philippines may only be considered for employment in Malaysia and\nIndonesia office only; pending work permit approval. <\/p>\n\n<p>This is a full-time position based in Southeast Asia.<br><br><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Key Duties <\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p><em><strong>Security Culture &amp; Management<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Create an enabling Security Culture, that continues to push\nboundaries, through regular staff updates, familiarization, training and\nintegration.<\/li><li>Policy and protocol development as related to safety,\nsecurity, risk management and Duty of Care (employer responsibility), including\nStandard Operating Procedures<\/li><li>Close consultation with campaigns, actions and logistics,\ncommunications, fundraising and management staff on Smart Risk taking in\nprojects<\/li><li>Advice and support project risk assessments, security and\nduty of care plans<\/li><li>Production, review and updating of all office and project\nstandard operating procedures (SOPs);<\/li><li>Oversight of incident reporting processes&nbsp; across the organization,<\/li><li>Closely collaborate with all stakeholders to ensure Security\nintegration into organisational processes and the GPSEA project model, from HR\nto Programmes<\/li><\/ul>\n\n<p><strong><em>Security Systems &amp; Capacity<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Design and oversee a fit-for-purpose GPSEA Security System\nwith approval processes <\/li><li>Oversee and ensure the implementation of Security systems\nthrough monitoring, project integration and trainings<\/li><li>Arranging delivery of periodic and as-required security\ntraining;<\/li><li>Assist in the Sign off and approval on campaign &amp;\ncommunications materials, tactics and strategies that may influence security\nrisk levels;<\/li><li>Oversee and facilitate the regional security practitioners\nand build capacity to meet the needs of the organization<\/li><li>Maintain and further improve the travel security &amp;\nmonitoring system<\/li><\/ul>\n\n<p><strong><em>Organisational Security &amp; Resilience<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Oversee, maintain and improve our Critical Incident\nManagement Systems including a 24\/7 hotline<\/li><li>Closely collaborate with HR and Public Engagement and Actions\nto ensure GP Duty of Care Best Practices are in place for staff, contractors\nand volunteers and activists<\/li><li>Support and advice on the resolution of critical incident\nsituations locally and regionally (on call)<\/li><li>Liaise with Human Resources and Legal to ensure Greenpeace\ncompliance with national legislations in Security, Health and Safety matters.<\/li><li>Coordinate Security and Safety induction process for new\njoiners across GPSEA with HR.<\/li><li>Liaison with GPI and other NROs on security management to\nensure consistent best-practice across our global organization ;<\/li><li>Advise on and ensure Site Security at our Greenpeace\nlocations, in coordination with Administration<\/li><li>Provide strategic advice on enhancing acceptance and\nresilience as civil society actor, including the liaison with other NGOs.<\/li><li>Provide up to date context political, societal context\nanalysis for our operating countries. <\/li><li>Facilitate and strengthen our legal support systems to ease\nsmart risk taking, in line with GP Best Practices.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n<p><strong><em>Administration &amp; Unit Leadership<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Manage the regional Security team adequately and ensure\nappropriate team capacity deployment to projects<\/li><li>Manage security external contractors, including office\nsecurity, specific project security and trainers;<\/li><li>Responsibly manage the security budget and maintain secure\nfiling system<\/li><li>Overall budgetary responsibility and management of the\nfinances for the Regional Security Unit<\/li><\/ul>\n\n<p><strong><em>Others<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Other duties as directed\nby line manager <\/li><\/ul>\n\n<p><strong>Educational Background &amp;
