{"id":44226,"date":"2020-12-01T10:27:43","date_gmt":"2020-12-01T03:27:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.greenpeace.org\/southeastasia\/?p=44226"},"modified":"2026-04-13T14:23:18","modified_gmt":"2026-04-13T07:23:18","slug":"job-opening-zero-waste-campaigner","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.greenpeace.org\/southeastasia\/story\/44226\/job-opening-zero-waste-campaigner\/","title":{"rendered":"Job opening: Zero-Waste Campaigner"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Zero-Waste Campaigner will help address current issues on solid waste and unsustainable food systems, both in major cities in the Philippines, as well as in rural communities in the country.<\/p>\n\n<p>This position is open for Greenpeace Philippines staff only.<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Key Duties<\/h3>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Develop and implement smart, innovative and people-powered campaigns and projects in line with both agreed short and long-term goals, consistent with Greenpeace national, regional, and international objectives; including detailed strategy, activities, timelines, and budgets.<\/li><li>Inform, educate, and mobilize various targeted constituencies\/audiences about zero waste, food issues, and Greenpeace goals.<\/li><li>Build, connect, and catalyze relevant urban movements by creating, building, and supporting networks, coalitions, and groups in support of campaign goals and in line with agreed campaign strategies.<\/li><li>Direct, organize, and participate in non-violent direct action to support and advance campaign goals and organization objectives.<\/li><li>Respond to and engage in internal as well as pressing external regional challenges as determined by the Programme team through the Philippine Country Director beyond his\/her normal issue\/campaign area as circumstances require.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Qualifications<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Level of Education: Bachelor\u2019s or Master\u2019s degree in the fields of Environmental Science, Sociology, Economics, Politics, Psychology, Communication, or other related fields.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Work Experience: At least 3 years of experience in a community or people-powered environmental-social movement, and\/or urban campaigns.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><br><strong>Application Guidelines<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n<p>Interested candidates are invited to&nbsp;<strong>(1) download and fill out the attached Application Form<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>(2) write a Letter of Motivation<\/strong>&nbsp;explaining why you are applying, and your qualifications for the position.
