Is the government hiding something from us?

A cooperation agreement has been signed between Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO) and Electricity Production Corporation (EÜAŞ) pertaining nuclear power for Sinop.

Tayyip Erdoğan

Following the Turkey - Korea Business Forum held in Istanbul today, a cooperation agreement has been signed between Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO) and Electricity Production Corporation (EÜAŞ) pertaining nuclear power for Sinop. Prime Minister Erdoğan once again opted to render an agreement on nuclear power behind closed doors away from public knowledge.

This has also brought up the question weather EÜAŞ or Ministry of Energy had any idea about this nuclear cooperation agreement for Sinop, where there is not even a license granted; that has popped up among the populated daily agenda of the country. There is no trace of this agreement on neither EÜAŞ nor Ministry of Energy's web sites. Furthermore, we have serious doubt on whether there is any scientific study has been conducted on Sinop.

We presume that Prime Minister Erdoğan, who is acting as the nuclear industry's Marketing Chief for Turkey has to fill up his years end quota and desperately needs these agreements. At this point, of course the great Prime Minister of our country does not need to consult with EÜAŞ and Ministry of Energy who he has direct access to and control of. On the other hand, these bodies never intend to question - god forbid! - his views.

Dear Prime Minister, "Nuclear Industry Is Proud of You!"
