Bilim insanlar\u0131, Antarktika yar\u0131madas\u0131n\u0131n kuzeydo\u011fusunda \u00f6nemli bir ya\u015fam alan\u0131 olan Fil Adas\u0131\u2019ndaki her bir penguen kolonisinde d\u00fc\u015f\u00fc\u015f tespit etti.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Fil Adas\u0131\u2019ndaki \u00e7ember sakall\u0131 penguenlerin say\u0131s\u0131 1971 y\u0131l\u0131ndan bu yana yakla\u015f\u0131k y\u00fczde 60 d\u00fc\u015ft\u00fc. 1971\u2019de yap\u0131lan son ara\u015ft\u0131rmada 122,550 \u00e7ift olan \u00e7ember sakall\u0131 penguen say\u0131s\u0131 bug\u00fcn 52,786 \u00e7ifte d\u00fc\u015ft\u00fc. Hatta baz\u0131 \u00e7ember sakall\u0131 penguen kolonilerinde y\u00fczde 77\u2019ye varan d\u00fc\u015f\u00fc\u015f tespit edildi.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Stony Brook \u00dcniversitesi Ekoloji ve Evrim B\u00f6l\u00fcm\u00fc\u2019nden&nbsp;<strong>Do\u00e7.&nbsp;Dr. Heather J. Bu de\u011fi\u015fime neden olabilecek bir\u00e7ok etken var ancak en b\u00fcy\u00fck nedenin&nbsp;iklim de\u011fi\u015fikli\u011fi oldu\u011funu g\u00f6r\u00fcyoruz.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Greenpeace&#8217;in&nbsp;\u201cOkyanuslar\u0131 Koru\u201d kampanyas\u0131ndan&nbsp;<strong>Frida Bengtsson<\/strong>&nbsp;ise \u015f\u00f6yle konu\u015ftu:<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cDaha az penguenin oldu\u011fu bir d\u00fcnya daha mutsuz bir d\u00fcnya olacak. Yaban hayat\u0131 ya\u015fam m\u00fccadelesi verirken bizim de acilen okyanuslar\u0131 y\u0131k\u0131c\u0131 insan faaliyetlerinden koruyacak okyanus koruma alanlar\u0131na ihtiyac\u0131m\u0131z var. \u00c7\u00fcnk\u00fc penguenlerin de ya\u015fad\u0131\u011f\u0131 deniz hayat\u0131, iklim de\u011fi\u015fikli\u011fine kar\u015f\u0131 uyum sa\u011flama g\u00fcc\u00fcne sahip. Bunun i\u00e7in h\u00fck\u00fcmetler acilen K\u00fcresel Okyanus Anla\u015fmas\u0131\u2019n\u0131 imzalamal\u0131lar.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Stony Brook ve Northeastern \u00dcniversitesi&#8217;nden bilim insanlar\u0131 ekibi, ayr\u0131ca Low Adas\u0131\u2019nda b\u00fcy\u00fck ama nispeten bilinmeyen \u00e7ember sakall\u0131 penguen kolonilerini manuel ve drone \u00f6l\u00e7me tekniklerini kullanarak ara\u015ft\u0131rd\u0131. Yakla\u015f\u0131k 100,000 \u00e7ift \u00e7ember sakall\u0131 penguene ev sahipli\u011fi yapt\u0131\u011f\u0131 d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcn\u00fclen ada, ilk kez karadan ara\u015ft\u0131r\u0131ld\u0131.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Okyanuslar iklim de\u011fi\u015fikli\u011fi, a\u015f\u0131r\u0131 avlanma, derin deniz madencili\u011fi, petrol \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmalar\u0131 ve plastik kirlili\u011fi nedeniyle tarihte hi\u00e7 olmad\u0131\u011f\u0131 kadar b\u00fcy\u00fck bir tehlike alt\u0131nda. Bilim insanlar\u0131 sucul ya\u015fam\u0131 korumak ve iklim de\u011fi\u015fikli\u011finin etkilerini azaltmak i\u00e7in 2030 y\u0131l\u0131na kadar okyanuslar\u0131m\u0131z\u0131n en az \u00fc\u00e7te birinin okyanus koruma alanlar\u0131 kapsam\u0131na al\u0131nmas\u0131 gerekti\u011fini s\u00f6yl\u00fcyor.
