Georgia Faye Hirsty is part of the Greenpeace US Actions Team and the Co-Founder of Frailty Myths, an organization building power through practice. She has spent decades working across social and environmental movements in a variety of management and leadership roles. She has trained thousands of people in skills ranging from climbing, to welding, to conflict resolution, to leadership. She has built teams ready to face the most extreme circumstances and inspired countless people to live fuller, happier, more meaningful lives.

Her insight comes from a wide range of lived experiences, research, and the deep belief in self-determination and community power.  She focuses on the use of non-violent direct action as a powerful and people-centered tactic for change. Her work is deeply rooted in the understanding that the fight for justice necessarily includes solidarity with every fight for justice, and that exploring the intersections of oppression is a necessary part of dismantling it.
