The Colorado-based Independence Institute (not to be confused with the Independent Institute<\/a><\/em>) has hosted events dismissing the“Cult of Climate Change”<\/a> and featuring Cato Institute fellows<\/a>. It has promoted<\/a> “Climate Coup,” a book edited by Patrick Michaels of the Cato Institute.<\/div>\n

The Independence Institute also attacks renewable energy, claiming<\/a> that it contributes to climate change (even though it dismisses the crisis) and belittles<\/a> programs to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, such a Boulder, Colorado’s Climate Action Plan.<\/p>\n

The Independence Institute is a member of the State Policy Network<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
