Acton Institute is intended to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.acton.org\/pub\/commentary\/2010\/06\/23\/evangelicals-and-global-warming\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">counter evangelical Christians<\/a> who have publicly expressed the need to address climate change with urgency.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><a href=\"http:\/\/www.acton.org\/pub\/commentary\/1999\/12\/27\/thou-shalt-not-burn-fossil-fuels-global-warming-an\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Acton featured<\/a>\u00a0the\u00a0\u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/www.desmogblog.com\/oregon-petition\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Oregon Petition<\/a>,\u201d a controversial document with\u00a0research by Dr. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.greenpeace.org\/usa\/global-warming\/climate-deniers\/koch-industries\/dr-willie-soon-a-career-fueled-by-big-oil-and-coal\/\">Willie Soon<\/a> and Dr. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.desmogblog.com\/sallie-baliunas\">Sallie Baliunas<\/a>,\u00a0in a dismissal climate advocacy efforts by religious groups.\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.acton.org\/pub\/commentary\/2005\/09\/07\/pascals-blunder-miscalculating-threat-global-warming\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">citing Bjorn Lomborg<\/a>, a widely known pseudo-scholar who mainly tours among organizations promoting climate skepticism.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Acton media director Jay W. Richards <a href=\"http:\/\/www.acton.org\/media\/audio\/earth-day-review-global-warming\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">states<\/a>, \u201cclimate is changing all the time, the real question is if humans are causing it.\u201d Richards is affiliated with\u00a0the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.greenpeace.org\/usa\/global-warming\/climate-deniers\/front-groups\/cato-institute\/\">Cato Institute<\/a> and sits on the Board of Advisors for the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sourcewatch.org\/index.php\/Committee_for_a_Constructive_Tomorrow\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Committee For A Constructive Tomorrow<\/a> (CFACT), one of the most vocal anti-environmental fronts for the petrochemical and biotechnology industries.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Acton\u2019s governing boards reveals other Koch connections through Dr. Alejandro A.
