Alaska Native Chief Walter Meganack was later quoted as calling it &#8220;the day the water died.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Today, 22 of the 24 impacted species have still not fully recovered, including animals like orca whales, sea lions and dungeness crab.<\/p>\n<p><b><a href=\"https:\/\/secure3.convio.net\/gpeace\/site\/Advocacy?cmd=display&amp;page=UserAction&amp;id=1593\"><b>Stand up for America&#8217;s Arctic.
