Jay Meisel has been General Counsel for Greenpeace USA since 2021.\u00a0 He oversees the legal and governance functions for the organization, including litigation and risk management.\u00a0 Previously he served as counsel to Planned Parenthood Federation of America for over a decade, including serving as Interim General Counsel. He holds a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law and a B.A. in Public and International Affairs from Princeton University. Jay is a passionate defender of First Amendment freedoms and believes that the right to a healthy environment is a fundamental human right.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
