I have worked hand in hand with Ebony as co-ED for 1.5 years,\u00a0 learned to seek out Ebony\u2019s advice and, more importantly, to follow it!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cOver the past 8+ years, Ebony has been a courageous, consistent, reliable, visionary, strategic and honest thought partner and leader at Greenpeace and I can not think of a better choice for someone to lead this organization into its next phase of work.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Ebony Twilley Martin said:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u201cI want to acknowledge and thank Annie for her transformational leadership and work over these last 8 years. Annie\u2019s work has positioned GPUSA well for the work ahead as we remain unwavering in our hope and will continue to be relentless in our pursuit of justice and liberation, especially for the communities most impacted by the joint crises in our climate and our democracy. Greenpeace USA is already a powerhouse environmental campaigning organization, and my priority is to make it an even more culturally competent one. I\u2019m absolutely honored to be a part of this organization.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Annie Leonard began her Greenpeace USA journey in 1989 as an intern and came back to Greenpeace as the co-Executive Director in 2014. She has<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> helped the organization inspire and mobilize millions of people to take action to create a more sustainable future together.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Working tirelessly to empower people and communities to fight for a more sustainable future, she was also the creator of The Story of Stuff. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The film blossomed into The Story of Stuff Project, and built a community of over half a million people.
