The invasion of Ukraine by Russia has been condemned around the world, and people throughout the country are at risk. Here’s how you can help.<\/span><\/p>\n

The suffering caused by wars is immense, and it\u2019s happening right now in Kyiv, Kharkiv, Kherson, Mariupol and throughout Ukraine. As Russia\u2019s unprovoked and illegal war continues, reports of attacks on ordinary people are filling the news. According to the UN, over 1.5 million people have already fled the country, and there are warnings that a major humanitarian crisis is under way.<\/p>\n

There are many organizations working on the ground in Ukraine and beyond that helping people caught up in the war. If you want to help, here are just a few who would be grateful for your support.<\/p>\n

The Ukrainian Red Cross<\/strong><\/a> has already provided aid to over 30,000 people, including food, medicine, and clothing.<\/p>\n

People in Need<\/strong><\/a>,<\/strong> based in the Czech Republic, is driving food, hygiene items, and bedding across the border to Lviv in the west of Ukraine.<\/p>\n

OutRight Action<\/strong><\/a> is providing funds to LGBTQIA+ organizations in Ukraine to help those displaced by the conflict.<\/p>\n

Kyiv Independent<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0is providing on-the-ground reporting, providing information for Ukrainians and the global community.<\/p>\n

Blood Agents<\/strong><\/a> promotes and organizes blood donations in Ukraine.<\/p>\n

UNICEF<\/strong><\/a> is supporting children and families, providing clean water, food, and health services.<\/p>\n

UNHCR<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>is providing information for refugees and asylum seekers in Ukraine, including a hotline for foreign students trying to leave the country.<\/p>\n

Africans Rising<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0is working to ensure the safe return of Africans stranded overseas in this conflict.<\/p>\n

Stand with Ukraine<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0is highlighting protests around the world, so you can join in and make your voice heard against the war.<\/p>\n
