APP is the pulp arm of the Sinar Mas Group.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Sinar Mas has since hired the Australia-based consultancy ITS Global (International Trade Strategies Global) to \u2018assess the validity and accuracy of the claims\u2019 made by Greenpeace \u2018based on the evidence cited in the report.\u2019 ITS Global is headed by Alan Oxley \u2013 a well-known industry apologist. ITS Global appears to have been paid by Sinar Mas to cast doubt on the reliability of Greenpeace evidence \u2013<br \/>\nwithout any attempt to ground-truth the validity of the findings or to provide credible evidence to back up its claims.
