The Greenpeace Semester summer session is an excellent opportunity for student activists to gain the necessary skills to become an environmental leader. Students who are perhaps unable to take a full semester off of school can join Greenpeace for one of our five-week sessions in Washington, D.C. and learn how to tackle some of the most pressing environmental issues we face today.
During your summer session, you will receive training and hands-on campaign experience with skilled trainers, and travel with Greenpeace on your campaign trip.
Students who complete the program will be ready to go back to their university and work on the environmental issues they are most passionate about. Head to our testimonials page to see what some of our alumni have to say about the Greenpeace Semester!
Tuition for the summer sessions is $2200. Students are encouraged to fundraise tuition and living expenses for the program, and Greenpeace staff will work with you to create a fundraising plan for the semester.
Historically, students have worked with their schools to secure internship or independent study credit for the program, and we recommend you speak with an advisor as soon as possible to see what potential there is to obtain credit from your university.
There are two sessions running each summer; please contact us if you have any questions. Visit our Greenpeace Semester main page for information about application deadlines and semester schedules.
