A lone polar bear waits for a Metro train at Gallery Place/Chinatown metro station in Washington, D.C.As part of a Greenpeace project that has polar bears showing up in places all around the world calling attention to the disastrous Arctic oil exploration. The Arctic is coming under assault and needs people from around the world to stand up and demand action to protect it. The campaign calls for a ban on oil drilling and unsustainable fishing in Arctic waters. The campaign will also push for a sanctuary in the uninhabited area around the pole that would in a stroke stop polluting industries colonising the top of the world.06/21/2012
