Victory! Great Bear Rainforest Saved

On February 7, 2006, the Canadian government finalized a plan to protect five million acres of the Great Bear Rainforest - a victory 10 years in the making. After a decade of blockades and pressure on international markets we join First Nations, industry leaders and other environmental groups to celebrate this long-awaited decision. We're working to ensure this agreement will create a global model of sustainability for other ancient forests around the world. Check out these pictures to see what is now safe from the chainsaw.
