As a child growing up in the beautiful hills of West Virginia, I grew to love the world around me and I developed a certain respect for it. Moving to Florida and seeing the rate at which undeveloped land was being destroyed, I realized how precious what I had before really was. As I grow older, still being young at 22, I have gained a more active interest in doing what is best for Earth be it recycling, making people aware of how serious issues like global warming are or just supporting the right food distributors. I want to make a difference and I think that by joining Greenpeace and increasing my awareness, I am on the right track to doing what is right for the world. I hope to one day, as my knowledge increases, work for an environmental organization such as Greenpeace and really make a difference. Until then though, I will do what I can as an individual to make people aware of the crisis that faces us today.
