Paulo Adario walks over illegally cut mahogany logs on river.

In October of 2001, in a joint operation with IBAMA, Greenpeace discovered mahogany taken illegally near the river Carajari, in Pará state. They found 8000 cubic metres of logs. A team of IBAMA officials "raided" the area to arrest the illegal loggers.
