GP MENA offers internship Programme possibilities with the main aim to achieve a mutual benefit to the Intern and to the organisation, allowing the intern to learn and develop his/her knowledge.
Our goal is to provide our interns with:
● A better understanding of the organisation’s goals and objectives
● Insight into how an international organisation operates
● Framework to enhance their educational experience through practical work assignments, thereby developing personal and professional skills which will be useful for their future employment
● An open and inclusive, multicultural, multilingual and multi-ethnic work environment, contributing to the development of mutual understanding, trust, and tolerance
Title: Programme Intern
Contract Type: Internship
Reports To: Campaigns Department.
Duration: 3 months (renewable once)
Location: Beirut office
Description
The intern will provide technical and research support to Greenpeace MENA’s Campaigner. This will allow the intern to take part in the development of Greenpeace MENA’s strategic, technical and scientific reports.
Your main responsibilities will include but are not limited to
● Research work for campaigning purposes
● Write and edit technical and scientific reports
● Monitoring of external consultancies
● Field support on training workshops and other events
● Coordination of field activities
Requirements
● Excellent research skills
● Knowledgeable about key environmental issues (climate change, renewable energy, biodiversity…)
● Love working in a multicultural environment
● Comfortable with promoting an idea and defending an argument
● Good multitasking skills
● Willing to learn new skills, and share your skills with others
● Interest in and awareness of environmental issues
Qualification
Language: Fluency in oral and written Arabic is mandatory. Good English. French is a plus.
