About the position: 

As we expand our reach and ambition, we are looking for a highly driven, value oriented professional to join us as a Data Insight Specialist. 

This is not a traditional NGO role. It is a strategic data leadership role suited for someone with strong technical expertise in data analytics and business intelligence, with the ability to design, manage, and optimize data systems that drive informed decision-making. The role involves developing and implementing data strategies, ensuring effective data management, and delivering impactful insights by creating and maintaining dashboards, reports, and real-time analytics solutions, while collaborating closely with programme teams to maximize organisational impact and support public engagement initiatives.

In this role you will: 

Data Strategy 

Lead the development and execution of Greenpeace South Asia’s data and insights strategy to support organisational objectives. Oversee data architecture, technology selection, and the lifecycle management of data systems, while ensuring strong database management, including donor data accuracy and income processing. 

Data and Insights 

Drive data-led campaign strategies through audience-centric insights that inform fundraising and engagement outcomes. Design and optimise dashboards and reporting solutions with clear visualisation, while overseeing analytics tools, data tracking, integrations, and automations to enable real-time, actionable insights. 

Data Governance 

Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive data governance framework to ensure data quality, compliance, and risk management. Maintain organisational data standards, oversee adherence to policies, and ensure alignment with regional regulatory and banking requirements. Define roles and responsibilities across data management, analytics, and reporting functions. 

Data Programmes & Services 

Strengthen data capabilities within the Programme department by delivering high-quality analytics and insights services. Collaborate across departments to drive a cohesive portfolio of data initiatives that maximise organisational value and impact. 

National & Regional Stakeholder Management 

Engage with stakeholders across Greenpeace International and regional offices to align local and global data strategies. Contribute to a global community of data and analytics leaders, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing across the network. 

Whom we’re looking for: 

We are seeking a candidate with strong experience in data-driven strategy, particularly in fundraising or digital marketing, and a solid background in data science, business intelligence, and modern data technologies (including CRM systems, web analytics, and cloud platforms). The ideal candidate can deliver actionable insights, engage senior stakeholders, and communicate complex data clearly. Advanced SQL and Python skills, workflow management experience, and fluency in English are essential, with additional languages and travel flexibility as an advantage.
