Title: Web Analyst – Freelance

Department: Engagement

Duration: Part Time

Reporting to: Deputy Director of Engagement

Location:  Remote / Hybrid

Start date: ASAP/immediate

Purpose of the Role

This role combines strategic digital support with hands-on technical work across web publishing, analytics, and digital campaigning. You will manage and optimize web content across multiple platforms (WordPress/Planet 4 and HubSpot), build and maintain digital campaigning tools including petition pages and email marketing, and provide web analytics insights to support organizational goals.

The position requires close collaboration with database, fundraising, and global digital experience teams to ensure seamless integration of digital initiatives. This includes maintaining data quality, accuracy, and consistency across platforms, while ensuring compliance with privacy regulations such as GDPR, cookie consent requirements, and other tracking limitations.

As the Web Analyst, you will be responsible for implementing and managing tracking systems, conducting A/B testing, and delivering data-driven recommendations to improve digital performance. You will develop and maintain dashboards and regular performance reports, translating complex data into clear, actionable insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders to support decision-making at team and leadership levels. Documentation of tracking frameworks and analytics setups will be essential to this work.

You will support the entire digital team with technical expertise, troubleshooting, and optimization strategies—including web performance considerations such as page speed and mobile responsiveness, awareness of accessibility standards, and collaboration with UX and design partners where relevant.

The role also carries a forward-looking dimension: staying informed on emerging digital tools, analytics trends, and platform changes; contributing to the evolution of digital measurement and optimization practices; and supporting skill-building and knowledge-sharing within the digital team. Through all of this, you will maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and global partners.
