Context and Background
The development of the JEDIS Community Mobilization Guideline stems from a collaborative effort between GP MENA’s Community Mobilization Team and the JEDIS Department. This initiative aligns with GP MENA’s commitment to embedding Justice, Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Safety (JEDIS) principles into its programs and campaigns. Recognizing the need for a framework to effectively engage diverse allies and communities, the guideline seeks to ensure inclusivity, intersectionality, and collaboration.
The guideline will focus on incorporating underrepresented voices, prioritizing community-led campaigns, and fostering relationships built on trust and shared values. By addressing key aspects of language, gender, socio-economic diversity, and youth engagement, the guideline will serve as a cornerstone for equitable community mobilization.
Project Objectives
Main Objective:
Develop a comprehensive JEDIS community mobilization guideline to ensure diverse and inclusive engagement in GP MENA’s programs.
Specific Objectives:
- Promote awareness and understanding of the guideline’s principles among GP MENA relevant team members.
- Ensure that underrepresented communities are acknowledged and prioritized in decision-making processes.
Scope of Work
The consultancy will be responsible for the following:
- Research and Review:
- Conduct a thorough review of existing guidelines, frameworks, ally databases, and best practices.
- Analyze Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) tools (2024-2026) to align the guideline with strategic objectives.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Carry out a stakeholder analysis to gather input and feedback.
- Employ methodologies such as surveys, focus groups, and interviews with relevant staff members, allies, and community partners.
- Guideline Development:
- Draft a comprehensive JEDIS guideline tailored to the needs of the Community Mobilization Team.
- Include strategies for engaging allies and communities effectively, ensuring their unique needs and contexts are considered.
- Integration and Training:
- Design training materials (e.g., slides, videos) to promote the guideline among team members.
- Finalization:
- Deliver the final guideline following feedback and revisions by the core team.
Key Deliverables
- A comprehensive JEDIS Community Mobilization Guideline in its final format.
- Training materials to support guideline implementation.
- Documentation of stakeholder engagement findings.
- Recommendations for continuous evaluation and improvement.
