Job Title: Fundraising Intern

Organization: Greenpeace MENA

Department: GP MENA Fundraising Department 

Reports To: FR Director

Type of Contract: Internship

Duration: 3 months (renewable once ONLY) 

Location: Beirut – Lebanon (Remote)

Description 

The intern will provide general support to the FR Director at GP MENA to implement, coordinate, and execute various functions within this department. This will allow the intern to develop new skill sets and gain hands-on experience in various aspects of Greenpeace’s MENA fundraising work.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Communicate with supporters or donors, answering queries and providing support
  • Help in organizing events either online or offline; drafting agenda, gathering material, taking notes, follow-ups, etc
  • Assist in researching potential foundations, and major donors
  • Assist in the screening process for prospective donors and organizations
  • Support in procurement when needed e.g gathering price quotation
  • Assist in the implementation of donor cultivation and solicitation events and activities
  • Attend and take minutes of meetings 
  • Provide support in data gathering from different stakeholders
  • Organize the files of the Fundraising Drive and make sure all files are added there
  • Draft and proofread professional correspondence and fundraising materials
  • Follow up on the key mandates of the fundraising team, ensuring no delays and meeting the deadlines.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
  • Excellent research and analytical skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Proactive, creative, and enthusiastic
  • Desire to learn, develop and advance
  • Ability to multitask
  • Genuine interest in working in the NGO sector, and an interest in environmental issues is highly desirable

Qualification 

  • Education: A university degree in communications, marketing, business, English literature, or a related field
  • Language: strong verbal and written communication skills in Arabic and English.

Our internships are meant for students or recent graduates who completed their studies less than 2 years ago.
