We have fundraisers on the field, behind the phone lines and online to help Greenpeace Malaysia raise funds that enable us to take independent and bold actions for the planet.
How does Greenpeace Malaysia fundraise?
Our fundraising efforts include face-to-face interactions in streets, malls, airports, and events; engaging supporters through phone calls; and providing an online donation platform. In these places, and through our fundraising, we share the story of our campaigns, how we are working to defend the natural world – and how, together with people, we can protect and defend this beautiful planet.
Our face-to-face fundraisers
Our fundraisers conduct campaigning face-to-face to help address various environmental issues we face today and inspire people to take collective action. Our amazing team members are highly involved and passionate planet warriors who create awareness and engage those who want to make a bigger impact in protecting the planet.
For legitimacy and security of our fundraising via direct dialogue, our Greenpeace fundraisers on field do not accept any form of check or cash donation. We only accept donations through transactions made via credit card or debit account through our online sign-up system, which is highly secure and compliant with credit card transaction protocols.

You can spot our official fundraisers through the following:
✅ Official Greenpeace ID and lanyard bearing the Greenpeace logo
✅ Campaign-related t-shirts, vests, or uniforms bearing the Greenpeace logo
✅ A tablet that contains Greenpeace campaign slides and our official online sign-up form
✅ Greenpeace exhibit booth and banners containing Greenpeace collateral and campaign materials
Upon sign-up, donors will be notified right away by text message and email, followed by a welcome pack by mail. Newsletters, e-digests, annual donation certificates, and other correspondence about Greenpeace campaigns will be sent through email all-year round.
⚠️ Never transact with fraudulent fundraisers who do not use ID cards bearing the Greenpeace logo, do not use T-shirts or uniforms bearing the Greenpeace logo, do not carry campaign folders or work alone. Our telefundraisers
Keeping the connection alive is important to us. Telefundraising is one of the ways that Greenpeace Malaysia connects with our supporters. Our telefundraising work includes updating our regular donors about Greenpeace campaign progress and the impact of their donations and inviting new donors into our regular giving program.

How do you know if a call is legitimate?
✅ Our telemarketing team members will start the call by introducing themselves, state that they are calling on behalf of Greenpeace, and inform you that the call will be recorded for training and quality purposes.
✅ We work with calling partners in Malaysia. Our calls only come from our listed numbers.
✅ Donations made through telefundraising will not require your CSV/CVV. Donating through our telefundraising channels is safe and secure.
