A groundbreaking event designed to bring together activists from the Global South.

Climate Justice Camp – Tunisia 2022

Empower the youth of the MENA region

This camp will be a unique opportunity for participants to share knowledge, build relationships, and co-create strategies to combat climate change. Greenpeace MENA is dedicated to supporting this initiative by covering the expenses for participants from the MENA region. Your support will enable young leaders from North Africa and the Middle East to join this transformative experience, amplifying their voices in the global climate justice movement.

Bridging gaps

Climate change disproportionately impacts the Global South, with the MENA region facing significant challenges. Despite their critical need for resources and strategic platforms, activists from these regions often need help accessing them. The MENA region, in particular, requires more funding and support for climate justice initiatives. Ensuring that participants from MENA can attend the Climate Justice Camp is crucial for fostering inclusive and intersectional approaches to climate action, addressing historical injustices, and building a resilient global movement.

Global connection

By supporting the youth delegates from the MENA region, we can ensure their representation at the Climate Justice Camp. This support will allow them to engage in capacity-building workshops, network with global peers, and collaborate on strategic initiatives. Participants will gain essential skills in community organising, digital engagement, and advocacy, which they can apply to their local contexts, strengthening regional climate justice efforts.
