Don’t Nuke Green Energy: Stop Darlington
In the wake of the Japanese nuclear disaster, countries around the world are re-thinking their reliance on nuclear power, not in Ontario. The Liberal government plans to move full-speed ahead on re-building the old dangerous reactors at the Darlington and Bruce nuclear stations.
The Liberal government wants to push through its nuclear plant with little discussion or scrutiny. They don't want you to know that they won't pay if there is accident. They don't want to admit that green energy is more affordable than nuclear power. And they certainly don't want to admit that there is no emergency plan to protect you in the event of an accident.
We need you to write to Energy Minister Bob Chiarelli and encourage him to re-think the government’s commitment to nuclear power when green energy is cheaper and safer option.
Send Minister Chiarelli an email to demand that conservation and green energy be a first priority for Ontario.
