Senegal is just one of the five countries in which Greenpeace Africa operates. Opened in 2010, our Dakar-based office focuses mainly on campaigning to stop the plundering of African seas, and to support sustainable artisanal fishing. In recent years, we also started highlighting plastic pollutions in our oceans.

The volunteer groups based in Dakar and Ziguinchor are dynamic mixture of students, young professionals, local fishermen, and forest defenders.
