About the role
The Acquisition Coordinator plays a pivotal role in growing GPGR’s individual donor base by developing and implementing targeted acquisition strategies. Responsible for all donor acquisition activities, the role focuses particularly on recruiting new regular supporters through multiple channels including digital and telefundraising campaigns. Close collaboration with the Engagement and Program Team is essential to design impactful campaign projects, enhance and monitor supporter journeys, and maintain a cohesive and engaging voice across all platforms. The role operates within a modern organizational structure, where project teams work collaboratively in a semi flat hierarchy, emphasizing innovation, autonomy, and cross-functional cooperation. The ideal candidate loves connecting strategy with action- balancing creative ideas with a data- driven mindset, all in service of making meaningful environmental and social change. This is a performance- oriented position, designed to help maximize fundraising results and grow the movement.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Program Management & Output Developmentjob entails
- Design and implement strategies to acquire new supporters (financial, non financial, potential) through online and offline channels (email, SoMe, website, events, etc).
- Collaborate with the Engagement Team and Tools Team to develop impactful fundraising content, messaging and materials.
- Work closely with the Program/Outputs Leader and the Program Team to ensure a strong fundraising and engagement component is integrated across all project planning and delivery.
- Ensure that all data and income generated through acquisition activity is recorded in an accurate and timely manner.
- Manage relationships with external partners involved in acquisition efforts.
- In close collaboration with the Strategic Insights Analyst, analyze campaign performance data, providing regular reporting and recommendations for optimization.
- Work closely with the Engagement Team to ensure a seamless transition from acquisition to long- term supporter relationships.
- Stay informed on trends in fundraising, digital marketing, and supporter behavior to inform strategy.
- Stay up to date with Greenpeace activities worldwide to maintain strong network connections and identify potential acquisition opportunities.
- Actively contribute to a transparent, inclusive, and constructive team culture.
- Promote the organizational values of equity, trust, participation, responsibility, and innovation.
- Represent GPGR’s program work in international working groups, cross office collaborations, and relevant meetings across the Greenpeace global network, ensuring strong alignment and knowledge/skills sharing.
What you bring
- Experience in fundraising (multichannel), marketing, communications, or a related field — non-profit sector experience is a plus.
- Strategic and creative thinking when it comes to designing and delivering effective acquisition campaigns that drive engagement.
- Proven knowledge of data segmentation and targeting of specific audiences.
- Familiarity with digital tools, CRM systems, or fundraising platforms.
- Strong organizational and project management skills; you can keep multiple projects moving at once.
- Digital Fluency: You are confident using digital tools for collaboration, data collection, storytelling, and outreach.
- Communication Excellence: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in Greek and English, with the ability to translate complex ideas into clear, accessible materials for diverse audiences.
- Analytical Mindset: Experience using data and insights to inform decisions, set strategic KPIs, measure impact, and continuously improve strategy and performance.
- Experience with monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) frameworks, and a commitment to continuous improvement and evidence – based decision making.
- Flexibility and Innovation: Comfort with change, experimentation, and working in a fast- moving environment that values creativity and continuous learning.
