About the role
Greenpeace Greece is seeking a skilled IT Systems and Salesforce Specialist to support, maintain, and optimize its digital infrastructure with a strong focus on Salesforce CRM and data management. The successful candidate will be responsible for Salesforce administration and development, database management, integration of payment gateways, data analysis and reporting, vendor management, and providing technical solutions to enhance operational efficiency.Our ideal candidate is a problem-solver with a hands-on approach, able to manage complex workflows, troubleshoot issues quickly, and propose innovative improvements. Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize Salesforce CRM, including flows, automation, reporting, dashboards, and integrations.
- Maintain and enhance databases (MySQL / PHP), ensuring data accuracy, security, and performance.
- Support and integrate payment gateways, ensuring smooth, secure donor transactions.
- Perform regular data entry, cleaning, migration, and reporting across systems.
- Provide technical support to staff, troubleshooting system and software issues.
- Collaborate with Fundraising, Engagement, and Finance teams to design IT solutions that meet campaign and operational needs.
- Prepare valuable insights data combined from various sources for reporting and analysis.
- Manage vendor relations for IT systems and tools (e.g., dialer for the telefundraising team), ensuring service quality and contract compliance.
- Work closely with Greenpeace International IT and the local IT admin to implement security policies, system upgrades, and compliance requirements.
- Create and manage user accounts for new colleagues, ensuring appropriate access rights and permissions.
- Contribute to process improvement by identifying inefficiencies and developing automated or scalable solutions.
- Ensure compliance with data protection (GDPR) and Greenpeace’s data security standards.
- Liaise with Greenpeace International IT teams on cross-office system integrations and best practices.
- Perform miscellaneous job-related technical duties as required.
Requirements
Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven hands-on experience (2–4 years) as an IT Specialist, System Administrator, or Salesforce Administrator/Developer.
- Strong knowledge of Salesforce CRM, including building flows, reports, and dashboards.
- Familiarity with PHP programming (Laravel or similar framework is a plus).
- Good understanding of database management systems (MySQL or equivalent).
- Experience with payment gateway integrations and secure transaction processes.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset.
- Experience with vendor management of IT systems/tools (ideally including call center dialers).
- Knowledge of IT security standards and policy implementation in collaboration with central IT.
- Experience in user account lifecycle management (creation, access rights, deactivation).
- Ability to translate technical solutions into user-friendly processes for non-technical colleagues.
- Experience with data analysis and reporting tools.
- Excellent communication skills in Greek and English (written and verbal).
- Team-oriented, collaborative, but able to work independently when needed.

Nice to have:
- Previous NGO or mission-driven organization experience.
- Knowledge of APIs and system integrations.
- Familiarity with Linux server administration.
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
