Greenpeace campaigns around the world to promote peace and sustainability.

In addition to Greenpeace Canada’s major campaigns, we also tackle other important environmental issues. We work to protect our polar oceans, advocate for the creation of marine reserves and protect whales.

Greenpeace Canada also works in partnership with Greenpeace offices around the globe. We support and participate in a number of international campaigns.

After Greenpeace U.K. released an explosive spoof Kit Kat advertisement exposing Nestlé’s practice of sourcing of palm oil from rainforest destruction, Greenpeace Canada followed up with activities, including setting up a mock rainforest in downtown Vancouver to get the message out to the public.

In support of the Tokyo Two — the pair of Japanese men who were arrested for their role in exposing corruption in the whaling industry — Greenpeace Canada published newspaper ads asking the public to sign a pledge urging a fair trial for the accused. Activities were also held at the Japanese embassy in Ottawa and at the consulate in Vancouver.
