Yasmeen Peer

Yasmeen @yasmeenati is the Nature and Food Campaigner based in the Dish with One Spoon treaty territory in Tkaronto (Haudenosaunee name for Toronto -meaning place where the trees are standing in water) with Greenpeace Canada. She focuses on the critical need to transform Canadian food systems to be more sustainable, climate resilient, equitable, and ethical. She is a dedicated member of the Diversity & Equity working group and Uplifting Indigenous Allyship group with GP Canada. Yasmeen has a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Windsor Law and Osgoode Hall Law School and a MA in International Peace and Conflict Resolution from the School of International Service at American University. She feels fortunate to have an incredible partner and to be the human for two magnificent cats, Moby and Kitten.
