Είμαι με την Greenpeace

Η εταιρεία-κολοσσός των αγωγών πετρελαίου Energy Transfer – της οποίας ο πρόεδρος είναι δισεκατομμυριούχος και δωρητής του Τραμπ – έχει καταθέσει αγωγή SLAPP εναντίον της διεθνούς Greenpeace και του αμερικανικού γραφείου. Κέρδισε ήδη την απόφαση των ενόρκων, αξίας εκατοντάδων εκατομμυρίων δολαρίων, όμως η τελική ετυμηγορία δεν έχει βγει.

Αυτή η αγωγή εκφοβισμού αποτελεί μια ξεκάθαρη επίθεση στην ελευθερία του λόγου. Στόχος της είναι να τρομοκρατήσει και να φιμώσει την Greenpeace, τιμωρώντας την αλληλεγγύη προς τον συνεχιζόμενο αγώνα των αυτόχθονων πολιτών του Standing Rock ενάντια στον αγωγό Dakota Access.

Σε όλο τον κόσμο, δισεκατομμυριούχοι και εταιρείες που ρυπαίνουν – όπως οι Energy Transfer, ENI, Shell, Total, Fonterra και JBS – χρησιμοποιούν όλο και πιο συχνά τέτοιες καταχρηστικές αγωγές και άλλες τακτικές εκφοβισμού για να σιωπήσουν τις φωνές που υπερασπίζονται το κλίμα και τη δικαιοσύνη.

Όμως μαζί μπορούμε να τους δείξουμε ότι η δύναμη των ανθρώπων είναι ισχυρότερη από κάθε εταιρικό νταή. Υπόγραψε τώρα και στείλε το μήνυμα πως δεν θα δεχτούμε ποτέ έναν κόσμο όπου οι εταιρείες μπορούν να φιμώνουν τους πολίτες.

Κάθε υπογραφή δυναμώνει το κοινό μας μέτωπο απέναντι στον εταιρικό εκφοβισμό.
