Meet Our Campaigners
The frontlines of environmental change. Our campaigners lead the charge — researching, strategising, and mobilising action to tackle the most urgent environmental issues in Malaysia.
Heng Kiah Chun – Campaign Lead
Heng began as a student activist and was among the first staff at Greenpeace Malaysia. He led investigations into the imported plastic waste trade (2018–2021) and spearheaded air pollution and haze campaigns (2022–2024). Now as Campaign Lead, he continues to push for environmental justice and systemic change.
Hamizah Shamsudeen – Climate and Energy Campaigner
Hamizah believes that nature is for all to care for, not to exploit. So the real energy transition should not be about the economy, but should emphasise environmental justice and inclusive. In her work, she aims to build a JUST transition for a sustainable future with affordable and clean energy access for all.
Dunxin Weng (Yan) – Zero Waste Campaigner
Yan is committed to driving impactful change at the intersection of climate action and social equity. She is passionate about transforming her legal experience into meaningful solutions for a more sustainable future. She aims to bridge the gap between legal frameworks and marginalised communities, contributing to a more resilient and just future where environmental justice prevails.
Nur Sakeenah Omar (Keenah) – Public Engagement Campaigner
Keenah works closely with volunteers and allies on various intersectional and local environmental issues since she joined Greenpeace Malaysia as staff since 2019. She represents Greenpeace Malaysia in various local coalitions, working on issues side by side for a more impactful outcome.
Hema Sulakshana – Public Engagement Campaigner
Driven by a passion for people-powered change, Hema develops public engagement campaigns that connect communities with environmental action. Her work focuses on mobilising volunteers, building grassroots momentum, and shaping impactful narratives to push for policy and behavioural change.

Greenpeace Ships
Our ships are fundamental to Greenpeace campaigns, from obstructing nuclear tests in the Pacific to stopping illegal timber shipments in the Amazon. They conduct research, provide humanitarian aid, and collaborate worldwide to protect our oceans.
These ships also serve as platforms for education and advocacy. They host workshops, training sessions, and public events to engage communities, inspire activism, and foster a global movement for environmental protection.
Arctic Sunrise
Explore the Arctic Sunrise, originally designed as an icebreaker, that conducts scientific research on biodiversity in the world’s coldest region.
Rainbow Warrior
Meet the Rainbow Warrior, Greenpeace’s legendary undisputed icon since 1978. The ship name is synonymous with breaking boundaries and fearless campaigning.
Witness
The newest and greenest vessel in the Greenpeace fleet, the Witness is also the smallest ship that can navigate shallow waters that are inaccessible to larger ships.

We are just one organisation within the vast network of CSOs and NGOs (Civil Society Organisations and Non-Governmental Organisations) in Malaysia.
