As one Native American saying goes: “We do not inherit the Earth from our ancestors; we borrow it from our children.” But the current state of the planet looks like we do not have anything left to hand down to the next generation. Mindless consumption and a throwaway culture has filled our oceans with plastic pollution. The cutting down of forests has reached a scale that has previously been unimaginable. This has to stop. If we put people and planet over profit, a world free from pollution and environmental degradation is possible.
