#PeacefulProtest
A movement of skilled changemakers can tip the balance between corporations and ordinary people and bring about the world we wish to see. Peaceful protest can take many forms: it could be a march, a sit-in, occupying a worksite or hanging a banner in a public place to send a clear message. These are just a few of the creative ways we’ve used to stand up for free speech and democracy and to speak out against corporate corruption and destruction. We believe that everyone’s right to access clean air to breathe, water to drink and food to eat should come before profit margins. When these things are compromised we believe people should be able to act in order to stir the conscience of the fellow citizens or to apply pressure on decision-makers or industry to bring about a change in laws or practices. It’s about using collective power to change our circumstance.
