Dear Green Guardians,
My name is Jennifer and I am the International Executive Director at Greenpeace International. I would like to take a moment today to say a big THANK YOU to you.
You see, today is International Legacy Giving Day. It’s a day where organisations and wonderful causes all around the globe highlight the importance of donors like you who have decided to leave a gift in their will to their favourite charity. Today is also a day where we celebrate the immense impact your legacy gift can have.
To many the current state of the world is alarming. From burning forests to oceans choking in single-use plastic, mass extinctions and climate change-induced weather patterns there is much to worry about.
But, as head of Greenpeace, I can see the power that each and every one of us hold. I can see what we achieve every day for a better world and this gives me hope. Because in you, in our supporters, we have power.
Through your pledge to leave a gift to Greenpeace in your will you are adding to that power for years to come. It takes a special kind of person to leave such a thoughtful gift. It’s important to me that I thank you personally today.
Thank you for thinking of future generations who will inherit this beautiful planet.
