NADEREV “YEB” SAÑO
Greenpeace Southeast Asia Executive Director
Yeb Saño leads the diverse operations of Greenpeace Southeast Asia as its Executive Director. He is the founder of The Climate Pilgrimage, a call to action from faith communities, and a founding board member of the Laudato Si’ Movement (formerly Global Catholic Climate Movement). Yeb is also widely known for his previous work as the Philippines’ Chief Climate Negotiator in the United Nations climate negotiations, where he championed climate justice and the voices of the developing world and the most vulnerable countries to climate change. He is also co-founder of Bikers United Movement Inc., a non-profit group advocating for inclusive mobility and sustainable transport.
LEA GUERRERO
Greenpeace Philippines Country Director
Lea has been working in environmental NGOs (Non-Governmental Organizations) for more than 15 years, focusing on campaigning and communications. She has worked regionally for Greenpeace Southeast Asia, IUCN (International Union of Conservation of Nature), and GAIA (Global Alliance for Incinerator Alternatives) on climate and biodiversity issues. She is currently Country Director for Greenpeace Philippines.
Our departments
- Communications and Digital team — the Comms team develops and shares our messages across various platforms, using integrated communication strategies. They play a vital role in increasing awareness, engaging the public, and amplifying our campaigns.
- Finance and Administration team — managing finance, logistics, and administrative matters, the team ensures that the organization operates smoothly and efficiently. Their role is critical in supporting the day-to-day functions that enable our campaigns to thrive.
- Fundraising team — our Fundraising Team is tasked with securing individual donations and maintaining strong relationships with our donors. Their work is essential in ensuring that Greenpeace Philippines remains financially independent and able to create meaningful change.
- People and Culture team — the People and Culture Team is responsible for human resources, learning, and development within Greenpeace Philippines. They foster a supportive and dynamic work environment that reflects our values and commitment to diversity and inclusion.
- Program team — the Program Team is the backbone of our campaign efforts, responsible for project management and the development of strategies that address critical environmental issues. They ensure that our initiatives are well-coordinated and achieve the desired impact.
- Public Engagement and Actions (PEA) team — dedicated to building and nurturing relationships, the PEA team engages new and existing volunteers, activists, and partners. Through agency-building and co-powering approaches, they contribute to the success of our campaigns by mobilizing community action. These approaches also empower different communities to campaign on their own, addressing issues that are locally relevant and impactful.
