The German equipment was delivered to Varas Multidisciplinary Hospital and Rivne Regional Clinical Hospital named after Yuriy Semenyuk. For both hospitals, this is their first experience in installing and using renewable energy sources.
Varash Hospital provides secondary healthcare to the residents of Varash and the entire community. The medical facility includes various medical and diagnostic departments, has its own oxygen station, PCR laboratory and blood centre. The hospital also provides medical care in emergencies and mass casualties and is part of the radiation safety system.
The hospital’s annual electricity consumption exceeds 470 thousand kWh. Therefore, the solar station (each of the stations provided to hospitals has a capacity of 100 kW) will help to meet the needs of not only the main building but also other hospital buildings.
The Rivne hospital consists of 4 buildings with more than 20,000 inpatients per year. The hospital’s outpatient clinic serves approximately 120,000 people.
The medical institution is convinced that the introduction of green technologies will increase the hospital’s credibility among patients and the public, as such activities signal efforts to preserve the environment and support innovation.
‘The installation of solar panels is an important step towards reducing costs, increasing energy independence and environmental responsibility of our hospital,’ the hospital said.
We are happy to help progressive communities on their way to energy independence!
