Juan is an Oceans Campaigner at Greenpeace Aotearoa.
Born in Colombia, Juan has lived in Tāmaki Makaurau since 2012. He has had a deep appreciation for ocean ecosystems since his teenage years when he started scuba diving in the tropical waters around Colombian coasts. He believes the ocean is the source of all life on our planet and every living creature, including humans, depend on its health for survival.
Educated as a film and digital media producer he is keenly aware of the importance of storytelling to rally people power around a common cause. His professional experience includes news, documentaries, films and tv shows of all kinds but his true passion lies in inspiring people to stand up in solidarity for the environment and social justice.
