At dawn on Sunday 24th the Climate Uprising began with a group of 30 people, including a team of Greenpeace climbers, occupying OMV’s oil drilling ‘henchboat’ Skandi Atlantic in Timaru for three days. Then on Monday, we began a blockade of OMV’s New Plymouth base which also lasted for three days. Then as a parting gift, we left them with the Museum of Oil History!
