Freshwater protections are under threat under the Luxon government!
Christopher Luxon may have declared war on nature, but that should not stop local councils from setting ambitious rules to protect lakes, rivers, and drinking water. But Luxon’s Government has announced that they will strip local governments of their ability to protect fresh water in an undemocratic, overreaching temper tantrum.
All this because the Otago Regional Council intended to vote to proceed with its freshwater protection plan.
