Does this look familiar?

According to a recent report by Oceana, Amazon produced an estimated 211 million kg of plastic packaging waste in 2019, contributing to a plastic crisis that is already out of control.
The corporation is greenwashing its way out of its environmental responsibilities by investing millions of dollars in recycling initiatives — when most recycling facilities in North America do not accept the types of plastics it uses.
Today, let’s make some noise: here are four actions to tell Amazon that they need to kick their plastic addiction.
1. Sign the petition
Over 21,600 people have already added their name, asking the online retail giant to invest in plastic reduction and reusable packaging solutions. Will you join them?
2. Flood Amazon on social media
On Twitter

3. Call Amazon customer service (1 (877) 586-3230)
Here are some lines that you can use to help you during the call:
- A report by Oceana found that Amazon generated an estimated 211 million kg of plastic waste in 2019 alone.
- In the same year, it’s estimated that Amazon delivered a ‘vanload’ full of plastic waste every 70 minutes to the world’s major rivers, lakes and oceans.
- Amazon is investing millions in recycling initiatives, but this is pure greenwashing: most North American recycling facilities do not accept the plastics used by the company.
- Amazon’s customers want plastic-free options, but the company isn’t listening. When surveyed, 87% of Amazon Prime customers in Canada, the U.S. and the UK said they want more plastic free initiatives and other measures for the company to reduce plastic waste.
- Amazon, it’s time you do your share to truly tackle the plastic crisis. Invest in plastic reduction and reusable packaging solutions NOW!

CMon Amazon use recycled paper/cardboard ..
your budget line should include an environmental or social welfare fee otherwise you are pillaging our society
The main lungs of earth- Amazon Basin is being de-forested. Help to clear the polluted rivers and land, of plastics would be a big help.
I've have canceled my Prime Account with Amazon today letting them know to stop the pollution. I've got parcels lately with all that plastic filling material. I have no use for it at home. Amazon, stop it! NO PLASTIC. Won't order anything till this has changed.
Folks it's time to take our climate scientists seriously about "Global Climate Change" not your local politicians in Brazil, that are far more concerned with getting relected, or obtaining kick-backs from companies, not concerned with the de-forestation of the Amazon Basin Please don't doe this for me, but for my children, and grand children !
The overuse of plastic and other end products of petroleum like polyester fabric, needs to be curtailed. The fossil fuel industry needs to evolve and develop safe energy sources.
We need to use more recycled paper instead of newly cut down trees and only reusable plastic if essential. I understand you have the money so why not get more involved in the environment and in the 'stuff' you have to use to deliver goods.
Knee deep in plastic is where I don't want to be.
Thank you for your loyal and dedicated determination to save our planet. As a suggestion if we can continue to get our youth involved in their future planet the better. Get the youth involved in these protests through school projects. Connecting with teachers and school boards may give manufactures the push they need. CAOs have children too!
this is a company which does absolutely nothing for its workers nor for the planet! people need to stop buying from amazon but I guess that is wishful thinking. they have to be held accountable for the damage they do to the world though and sooner rather than later.
