Stop Trump’s Dirty Power
Trump is spreading chaos and destruction. His agenda threatens lives, attacks democracy, and pushes the planet deeper into crisis.
And while Trump is setting the world on fire, Europe is signing long term deals for billions of euros of dirty fossil gas. Deals that last for decades and make Europe vulnerable to Trump’s destructive agenda. Dirty energy deals with Trump have to end.
Europe must break free from fossil fuel dependence and build an energy system with 100 % renewables.
To the European Union and its member states
Trump is blatantly disregarding international law and fueling global geopolitical tensions. From Venezuela to Greenland he tries to extend his power and to get access to natural resources like gas and oil. And he’s ordering mass deportations and fueling violence and fear across communities in the US.
This has to stop now!
The US is already Europe’s biggest supplier of LNG, and more deals are in the making that would even increase Europe’s dependence on US gas. Europe is handing its energy future to an unpredictable and power hungry Trump, a man who is not and will never be a reliable partner.
We will not remain silent!
Instead of submitting to Trump’s will, Europe must break free. To protect our basic needs, electricity, heating, and transport, Europe has to end fossil fuel dependence and invest in decentralised renewable energy made in Europe. That is how we achieve real energy independence and security, starting with ending fossil gas.
Fossil gas means:
- A less safe and less secure Europe
- More deadly climate disasters
- More money and power for Trump and his fossil fuel allies
We demand:
- Stop dirty energy deals with Trump
- Stop Europe’s fossil fuel dependency
- Speed up the transition to an energy system built on 100% renewables
We have to break free from fossil fuels and end all US gas imports.
We will not remain silent in the face of violence.
