Greenpeace in Finland

Greenpeace is an independent global campaigning organisation that acts to change attitudes and behaviour, to protect and conserve the environment and to promote peace. To maintain our independence, Greenpeace does not accept donations from governments or corporations but relies on contributions from individual supporters and foundation grants.

Greenpeace's international priority is climate work. We are campaigning to save the Arctic from oil drilling and industrial fishing. In Finland we fight against unsustainable biofuel produced by Finnish company Neste Oil to end rainforest destruction. Greenpeace aims at ending the nuclear era by promoting safe and clean, green energy solutions. We protect the world's ancient forests and the animals, plants and people that depend on them.
